We’ve all played ping pong, but few have played or seen table tennis, its more extreme alter ego. Table tennis is one of the fastest, most exciting sports in the world, and you can experience it in full flower at the NJTTC. Hiding in plain sight in beautiful downtown Westfield, N.J., NJTTC is one of the few full-time table tennis clubs in the country. The Club features 8 top-of-the-line-tables, is open 7 days a week/365 days a year and has over 200 members, ranging in skill from beginners to many-time Olympians and National Champions.
If you are a beginner, coaching is available that will help you develop the advanced skills that make the game even more enjoyable. If you have some experience, we guarantee that you will find players that will challenge your abilities and raise the level of your game to new heights.
Hours: The Club is open every evening – 7 days a week/365 days a year.
Age and Ability Requirements: NONE.
Membership: Membership rates are extremely reasonable and costs are pro-rated for those who join after the start of our membership year (which begins September 1). Newcomers are allowed to play as guests of the Club a maximum of two times before being required to join.
Tournaments: Each year NJTTC hosts 10 USATT certified tournaments that attract players from all over the tri-state area. There are different events that allow players of various skill levels to compete with players of similar ability.
Leagues: The Club runs several leagues in either an individual or team format, each of which is designed for a certain level of skill. In addition, the Club runs a youth league on Saturday afternoons for juniors under 18 years old.
Coaching: Individual instruction is available from several coaches, including former and current Olympians and National Champions. In addition, table tennis camps are run throughout the year.
Location/Directions: The Club is located in the heart of downtown Westfield on the second floor of 226 North Avenue West, right across the street from the train station.
