Tournaments

The NJTTC hosts an open tournament each month from September through May. Also, the annual New Jersey State Championships (open only to NJ residents) are held at the Club each April. NJTTC tournaments are USATT-sanctioned two-star events. Answers to common questions about our tournaments can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions page.

Monday Round Robin Tournament

The club started a new series of Monday Round Robin Tournaments this past spring. There are 16 available slots for talented players, looking to test themselves against their fellow club members.The Monday Round Robin Tournament is a new NJTTC initiative with the goal of promoting greater player participation across skill levels in a friendly, competitive environment. Monday RR tournaments will alternate with the established Monday League.

Entry Policy

USATT Eligibility: All players MUST either 

  1. Be members of USATT or some other ITTF-affiliated association (bring your membership card or receipt)
  2. Join the USATT at the tournament or 
  3. Purchase a One-Time Tournament Pass for $10 (if eligible) at the tournament.

USATT Membership: Effective April 1, 2011, the USATT membership fee structure is as follows

  1. Adult membership $49/yr, $135/3yr
  2. Collegiate membership $25/yr
  3. Junior membership $25/yr, $60/3yr
  4. Household membership $90/yr, $250/3yr
  5. Foreign membership $75/yr
One-Time Tournament Pass: To be eligible for a One-Time Tournament Pass, you must
  1. Never have been a member of USATT and
  2. Never have purchased a One-Time Tournament Pass before.

Round Robin Group Sizes: Round robin group sizes are determined on an event-by-event basis based on a number of factors (with the main determinant being the number of participants). In all cases, however, we will strive to avoid having round robin group sizes of fewer than 4 people.
Prize Money Policy: Any players who choose not to play a prize money match will only be paid the prize money awarded in the prior round, if any.
